Editing of the movie "The Exorcist" (1973) made by fans, where were used excerpts of Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells".

1974 LESLIE PENNING ON HERGEST RIDGE
You can see a Mike's house called The Beacon, on the slopes of Bradnor Hill in Kington, Herefordshire, overlooking the ridge which would lend its name to his second album called 'Hergest Ridge'. Hergest Ridge on the England–Wales border is a popular destination for Oldfield's fans. The footage was recorded during one of these convention. In the background you can hear 'The British Grenadiers' from 1977 by Leslie Penning. Mike is not playing here.
Leslie Penning was a local musician who regularly played at the Penrhos Court hotel and restaurant near Mike’s home in Kington. He specialised in playing recorders and early musical instruments. In the years 1974-1977 Mike and Les collaborated together.

At the end of 1975, Mike moved to Througham Slad Manor near Bisley (Gloucestershire),
where he created a large recording studio in a barn.
Mike Oldfield recorded there "Incantations" and part of "Platinum".
A fan-made movie. In the background you can hear "Piano Improvisation".

Tony Blackburn looks at the weekly pop chart and introduces a Ruby Flipper dance sequence.
Ruby Flipper were a multiracial, mixed-sex dance troupe who performed dance routines to songs in the UK Singles Chart on the BBC television series Top of the Pops in 1976.

A promo music video can be found on the DVD Elements. Shot in Oldfield's Througham studio, it shows four female folk dancers who dance around the studio, while Oldfield is seen playing various instruments. As in the video for his previous single, "In Dulci Jubilo", the video emphasizes that Oldfield plays all the instruments, even though this is not strictly true.

1977.01.25 MIKE OLDFIELD LIVE ON THE WORLD PREMIERE OF "THE ODYSSEY"
Excerpt from BBC Omnibus documentary about David Bedford screened in 1979.
David Bedford's "The Odyssey" was given a unique live rendition in the Royal Albert Hall in 1977. Mike Oldfield playing "The Phaeacian Games" - part of "The Odyssey" album.
The concert was recorded and broadcast by the BBC.

The music video for The William Tell Overture consists of multiple incarnations of Oldfield performing the song on different instruments. A complex multi-split screen technique was used. The effect is as if a room full of Oldfields were playing together. A promo music video can be found on the DVD Elements.

Oldfield special at the time Mike was recording "Ommadawn".
It shows a shy Mike Oldfield in and outside his studio at the Beacon, playing some fantastic unreleased bars on acoustic guitar (Ommadawn pts. 1 & 2) and on piano, and showing how he can obtain certain particular sound effects with his electric guitar linked to the mixing desk; then interviews with him and Richard Branson.

1977 REFLECTION. A FILM ABOUT TIME AND RELATEDNESS
An examination of the relationship between human beings and nature: the patterns which occur in nature, and the appearance of such patterns in religious buildings as a mediation between humans and their natural environment. This was a documentary commissioned by the UK Arts Council in 1976. This was the first film to feature specially-composed music by Mike. The soundtrack contains some very unique out-takes and re-workings of pieces from Hergest Ridge, Ommadawn and Incantations. Also featured some tracks, which were later released on singles and some short linking sections and tracks.

An extract of the french-german TV movie documentary 'De Woodstock al Walkman' (Bernard Faroux, 1996) with spanish subtitles and voice-over. This document concerns the phenomena of the decade of 70's beginning by looking at the end of the 60's (Woodstock) to the Walkman which was designed and promoted in the late seventies.
In the part about progressive rock you can see excerpts from concerts of Tangerine Dream,
Guru Guru, Klaus Schulze, Rick Wackeman, Yes, Soft Machine, Mike Oldfield and Genesis.
